Day 1 - Hiking Bukit Batu Putih, Tanjung Tuan

Day 1, Melaka - > Port Dickson - > Melaka

We start our budget trip with hiking in Bukit Batu Putih located in Tanjung Tuan Recreational Forest (Port Dickson). This is short hike but the view is stunning. This hill also rated in Top 10 hills must hike for beginners. This time we skip lighthouse.

We take the easy trail

From entrance of Tanjung Tuan Recreational Forest to trail head will take 15-20 minutes. The trail head is on the right , just 30 or 50 meter from stairs leading to Cape Rachado Lighthouse. After 20-25 minutes, you will need to do a little rock climbing to reach the peak.

Amazing Right?

After 15 minute taking photo, we quickly come down because we don't want to get sunburn. It is bad idea to start hiking at 3PM. Going down we use the longest route which will pass by Monkey Bay. When going down toward to Monkey Bay, we pass by this amazing place to take stunning photo for Instagram. But please be careful when you stand on the cliff to take photo.

We leave this place 5.30pm and go to McD at waterfront for sunset before heading back to Melaka.

Extra shirt and pant for changing after hiking

Hiking Trail: around 3.0 Kilometer

Elevation Trail : 219 meter
Hiking Time: around 1-2 hours (total)

Difficulties: 2/5 (Easy to Moderate)


Day 2

Pavilion KL : Magical Christmas Celebration with Disney Mickey Mouse

Today is my off day, so plan a day trip to take some nice shot for 1,000 MICKEY FIGURINE CHRISTMAS TREE in Pavilion KL.

This year marks 90 years since Mickey Mouse made his on-screen debut in "Steamboat Willie". For this milestone, Disney Malaysia will be launching the “Celebrate The Magic” campaign at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

From Nov 25 to end December, over 100 exclusive Mickey Mouse products will be available at Pavilion, taken from the “Mickey Go Local” and “Mickey True Original” collections.

1,000 Mickey Figurine Christmas Tree

Then there is the 1,000 Mickey Figurine Christmas Tree, probably the most creative and beautiful i have seen in Malaysia shopping mall over last few years.

There are so many Mickeys that i love to take their photo but after spending 30 minutes, i give up, because my neck pain staring up at the christmas tree and being push by mickey's fans.

Tasik Cermin or Mirror Lake - A small gem hidden in Ipoh

Recently saw quite a lot of my friends post about Mirror Lake in their Facebook Or Instagram. Without any delay i do some google search, i cannot believe such beautiful place exist in Malaysia. I also finds 2 useful website that give instructions on how to get there :

Majestic and stunning view

This hidden lake is majestic and stunningly beautiful. But, it is actually illegal to go there as the active quarry sites already make it a prohibited area, and it's an "enter at your own risk" place.

You will have to park your car outside the quarry area and walked into the site, climb a small hill.

Just continue walking straight until you see a cave entrance on the right hand side.

Beautiful spot for couple

There is not much things to do here except to enjoy this beautiful view. Recommended for nature lovers that love quiet place with great view.

 Few things to take note :

1. Not to be visited during rainy days it will be muddy and cannot get mirror reflection effect.
2. Go around 10am -12pm if you want take great photo
3. try not to wear high heels because you need to walk a lot on stony ground
