Johor Hidden Blue Lake (Tasik Biru), Kangkar Pulai

 Roses are red,
Kangkar Pulai Lake are blue,
I'm telling you I love you,
So what are you gonna do?

 Kangkar Pulai Blue Lake

I am sure a lot of you heard of Blue Lake in Kangkar Pulai right or saw in on Facebook or Youtube? I wanted to visit this place since 2017 but it was closed at that time due to land owner complained about the rubbish that was left on the trails. Since this time we got short trip in Kukup, we plan to visit this place, because we are attracted by the stunning blue colour of the lake.

So far i already visit :

  1. Bukit Ibam Blue Lake, Pahang
  2. Legendary Black Lake in Bukit Mor, Muar

How to go there? We keyed in “Tasik Biru, Kangkar Pulai” and Waze brought us to where we wanted to go. After tar road, you can expect driving into stony roads, after the palm tree road, we came to an intersection of left and right. On the right you can see guard house, just turn left and go straight until you see big water dam (tangki air) on your left. Then can start parking and walking toward right hand side for hiking.

You will pass by palm tree

Turn right for Blue Lake

A lot of palm tree

Mosquito here quite huge, prepare to donate some blood

The first 200-300 meter is a easy walk, after that the real hike starts. The trails starts to become steep, maybe an incline of 45 degrees. However, the incline part is really short and not too tough.

There are ropes to help you too!

Just keep going up and up

If the road are slippery, just hug the tree like this guy

Basically, you will need to hike for about 10-15 minutes to reach the first check point, which is the only hike that we did for this trip. I wanted to go further but my friends don't have enough energy to move on and one of the reason is they wear short pant and cannot stand mosquito bite. At least we felt that this point is good enough for us to take good photos and sun was getting too hot that time (5pm).

first check point

This view definitely worth 15 minutes hike

just extra caution when going down from here

 Closer view to Blue Lake

If you are still thinking whether you would like to visit this blue lake? I assure you, it is worth it. Easy hike with a rewarding view.
